Customs 4 Cancer are three mates who are passionate about two things, custom vehicles (cars and bikes) and raising much-needed funds for cancer research. <\/strong>Their goal is to raise $1 million for Cancer Council Australia, to help enable their continued success in areas pertaining to study, prevention and support for those suffering from the disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by their own personal experiences with the illness, Ned (who has previously undergone surgery and intense chemotherapy) and Deane (whose father passed away due to cancer), decided to team up for this extremely worthwhile cause. The campaign has seen them partner with their mate Adam, given his expertise in building custom cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The local business owners have combined their love for custom vehicles to help raise much needed funds for cancer through their innovative fundraising initiative, Customs 4 Cancer. The passionate group are extremely excited to have a pledge of full support and endorsement from Cancer Council Australia and are honored to be working in partnership for this worthy cause. The local fundraising initiative, Customs 4 Cancer will raise funds for the Cancer Council through raffling unique custom cars and bikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Ned Restom, leading local Dentist and Practice Principal of a group of established Dental practices across the Coast including Avoca Beach Dental, Saratoga Dental, Empire Bay Dental, Bonnells Bay Dental and Warnervale Dental, is a cancer survivor himself. Ned has recently undergone surgery and intense chemotherapy for cancer treatment. After his completion of treatment and receiving an excellent prognosis, it got Ned and his friend Deane talking about the fact that not everybody with cancer has had such a positive outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deane Poile, Principal Designer and Director of Deane Poile Designs unfortunately had his father taken from him recently due to cancer. This significant loss complemented by the joy of Ned\u2019s recovery got him thinking about how they could somehow personally contribute and make a difference. Poile explains that \u201cgiven the fact that we are both avid car and bike enthusiasts, we decided on combining our love and experience of cars and bikes with cancer fundraising and subsequently the idea of raffling off unique cars and bikes emerged\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dynamic dentist and designer soon realized they would require additional expertise for choosing the right customised vehicles to help them generate maximum interest, hence Adam was brought onboard. Adam Barnes is the Principal building designer of Design by Barnes based on the Central Coast and has a wealth of experience in building custom cars. Adams life, like so many of us has also been touched by cancer with his pop, uncle and some close friends having lost their lives to the undiscriminating disease.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tenacious trio are extremely excited to have a pledge of full support and endorsement from the Cancer Council and feel privileged to be working in partnership with them. Their initial goal is to raise $1 million dollars for the Cancer Council from their raffles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancer never rests, and for that reason, neither does the Cancer Council. The Cancer Council is Australia\u2019s leading cancer charity who work across every aspect of cancer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every day, they support people affected by cancer by speaking out on behalf of the community on cancer issues. They also educate people to reduce their cancer risk and ultimately find new ways to better detect and treat cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
